So quiet.........

Since there seems to be very little or zero activity on here, I thought I'd post something we could maybe discuss or whatever. Anything to rustle up a bit of chatter lol!

Ok, well since the next festival is Samhain/Halloween, thats talk about that!

What do any of you generally do from the 31st to the 2nd? Rituals etc.

Hi everyone

Hey,
I've just joined and I thought I'd introduce myself!
I'm 16 years old, I live in Essex in the UK and I've been practising Wicca for 4, almost 5 years. I'm not sure exactly how I got into it, as a child I was always fasinated by rainbows, faeries, fairytales, halloween, witches, ghosts, alternative religions etc. No one in my family was 'into' Wicca or Paganism or anything like that, my brother hasn't settled on a religion, my dad is a Buddist and my mum is a Catholic. I read a few books on Paganism but wasn't sure that it was for me, I then got chatting to a very kind lady, who was Pagan, and she taught me almost everything I know about Wicca. She acted as my tutor for it, telling me about the different colour candles, what they represent, the history of Wicca etc as she knew a lot about it but took up Paganism instead.
I love art, as I'm an art student and I do a lot of art at home, showing them to a few online galleries etc.
I also like reading, shopping, sitting on the ground outside, not wearing shoes and jewllery.
Thats about it! Hope this wasn't too boring for anyone!

heya

Pagans with Asperger's

Crossposted, sorry.

It was brought to my attention that there are a lot of Pagans out there who have Asperger's Syndrome or know someone who does. So, I started a community for us/them.

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/paganaspergers/
A friend of mine and I have created a new community for asatru women to gather and exchange experiences and information.. It is called valkyrie_haven so come one and all and let's enjoy each other's companionship.

Some questions

I just recently put up my first alter and it's not much at all, but I'm quite happy with it, considering my family situation and there lack of accepting that I'm pagan. So, I was wondering...

1)How many of you have an alter? (in your home, dorm, etc)
2)Do you change the alter around at all? If so, when/how often and what do you do?
3)Do you have special clothes to cover it, do they have any meanings for you?

Just really curious on everyone's personal tastes. Thanks in advance.

Just curious...

I was reading a post on one of the forums I'm on. It's basically turned into the generic pagan thread, debating animals being sacrificed and what not. However an interesting idea was brought up and I wanted to see what everyone here things.

Cerimonal garb. If it necessary? Do you think there's a "set" way to dress for a ceremony/ritual?
