ok i have a completely random, but i think relevent question for the community.

does the numbers 3 or 4 have any significant meaning in any of the magic(k) realms?

i am in need of a subject for a paper i have to write over Harry Potter and i noticed that there seems to be an emphasis on the number 3 in Goblet of Fire. so i thought i would come here and ask.

if you can in any way answer this question please do so, and if it is possible can you hit me with a reference or where you got it, please?

Thanks!

3 is a very common magical number. In fact, it's probably the most common magical number in history.

I do wish I could give you a good reference on it, but I can't off the top of my head. I'll see if I can't find something about it, but that'll be difficult.
